Fire Dance
The Gap Mtn. Lions Club, serving the communities of Troy and Fitzwilliam, will be sponsoring a Fire Dance on
Saturday August 30th from 7-ll pm at the VFW in Jaffrey. There will be a DJ to provide the music and a light buffet will be served. This dance is to benefit the Goodwin family of Fitzwilliam who were burned out of their home earlier this summer.
The Harris Center for Conservation Education - Hike
On Friday September 5th, The Harris Center for Conservation Education will lead a hike up the Raymond Trail to the Audubon-staffed hawk watching site near the summit of Pack Monadnock.  This is a 3- mile round trip climb. Hawk migration should be underway, depending on weather conditions.  Bring binoculars! Meet at the southeast corner of the Ocean State Job Lot parking area at the junction of Routes 101 and 202 in Peterborough.  Carpool departs at 10:00 a.m. Back by 3:00 p.m.  For more information e-mail jacobs@harriscenter.org or call (603)525-3394.

Comedy Show
There will be an all ages Comedy Show on Friday September 5th at Hidden Hills Banquet Hall in Rindge.  Doors open at 7pm, and the show begins at 8pm. The show is free, but any donations received will benefit the Rindge Athletics Men's Social Club and the Police and Fire Department Boosters.

Nelson Police Department Golf Tournament
The Nelson Police Department will be holding a golf tournament on Saturday September 20th at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene. Proceeds benefit the Nelson Police Department Scholarship Program. Miracles in Motion Medieval Faire
Miracles in Motion will be holding a Medieval Faire on Saturday September 13th at the Cheshire Fairgrounds. Gates open at 10:30am and knight games start at 11am. Age In Motion classes are starting in Chesterfield, Charlestown, and Walpole in September.  If you are an older adult, Age in Motion is a great way to gain strength and flexibility, and improve balance. Book Discussion at the Frost Free Library
On Wednesday September 24th from 7–8pm, the Frost Free Library in Marlborough will be hosting a Book Discussion: The Book Thief. Join them for this discussion of the 2005 best-selling novel by Markus Usak, and a finalist for the 2007 Michael L. Scrapbooking with Lisa at the Frost Free Library
On Tuesday September 23th from 6:30–8pm the Frost Free Library in Marlborough will be hosting "Scrapbooking with Lisa". Join Stampin’ Up consultant Lisa Bunce for some scrapbooking fun and take home a beautiful, completed page each month.
