Textination ACM Official Rules


WINK COUNTRY’S TEXTINATION ACM! Starting February 2nd – February 20th, 2015 … Listen weekdays at approximately 9am to 4pm up to three times a day, for the Contest Name text word.  When you hear the specified contest word you must text the correctly spelled word 77000 to enter to win $100. Text entries for each contest play will be accepted until 10 minutes after (past) the hour, of each specific contest episode. WINQ may choose to announce a contest word more than one time during the permitted window, but there is no obligation to announce the word multiple times in any single contest play or in subsequent contest plays. Message and data rates may apply. One text per play.

WINQ will conduct this contest concurrently and simultaneously with radio stations affiliated with WINQ and in various states.  Listeners of WINQ will, therefore, be competing with listeners of other radio stations to win the same prize. A station will be chosen at random from all the participating radio stations. Then a text received by that station will be chosen at random to win $100.  The cell phone number from the chosen text will be called and the reaction recorded for broadcast.  If unable to speak with the contestant who sent the text, within 5 minutes from the time that contestant’s cell number is dialed, then the $100 prize will be forfeited and another random text will be chosen, from the selected station, until a winner is determined.  All $100 winners will qualify for the Grand Prize: a trip for 2 to the Academy of Country Music Awards in Dallas April 17th – 20th 2015 including:

  • Roundtrip coach airfare for 2 from the closest major airport to Dallas, Texas
  • 3 nights hotel accommodations, at the Renaissance Hotel, specifications of the accommodation at the discretion of WINQ
  • 2 tickets to the ACM Awards April 19th, seats at the discretion of WINQ

Approximate value of grand prize is $3500.  Trip provided by EMI Nashville.  After 4:30 pm February 20th a grand prize winner will be chosen at random from all the qualifiers. The winner will be called and the reaction recorded for broadcast.  If unable to speak with the winner within 5 minutes from the time that contestant’s cell number is dialed, then the grand prize will be forfeited and another random winner will be chosen, from the selected station, until a winner is determined.  The prize is non-transferable.  If person does not meet requirements for the trip then the prize will be forfeited and another random winner will be chosen, from the selected station, until a winner is determined.  Prize will be awarded within 14 days.  WINQ)’s sole responsibility is to award the prize; therefore, WINQ will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason cannot or decides not to fly to Dallas, to use the hotel accommodations, or attend the show.  WINQ is not responsible for any difficulties contacting WINQ or entering the Contest, any malfunctions or errors, whether technical or typographical or human error, experienced due to overload, internet availability or texting server issues. Text messages are sent through third party providers; WINQ does not guarantee, and shall not be responsible for, the delivery or timeliness of any text message entry. $100 Prize will be available within 10 business days. WINQ contests are open to all eligible persons within 50 miles of Keene, NH and 18 or older who have not won any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 12 months. Contest participants should not rely on streamed broadcasts as they may be delayed from the on air broadcasts.

Employees of WINQ, The Monadnock Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WINQ main studio are not eligible to enter or win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
