Keene Municipal General Election results

This page will be updated throughout the evening Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, as unofficial results come in live from theĀ polls.

KEENE, NH – Keene voters made their way to the polls today and cast their ballot in the city’s Municipal General Election. Races for mayor, ward councilor, and councilor at-large were all under the microscope, as well as an amendment question that would change how the city handles primary elections.

WKBK is live on the air from 7-8 pm reporting the unofficial results, those results will be listed below by ward as well.

Ward 1: Voters in Ward 1 heavily favored the incumbents for Councilor At-Large. Top vote getters were Randy Filiault, Kate Bosley, Bettina Chadbourne, Michael Remy, and Edward Haas. Jay Kahn won the mayoral race in Ward 1, and Ward councilor Raleigh Ormerod was uncontested. Both amendment questions passed.

Ward 2: There were some close races in Ward 2 for Councilor At-Large. Top vote getters include Randy Filiault, Kate Bosley, Bettina Chadbourne, Edward Haas, and Ashock Bahl. Jay Kahn earned more than 500 votes more than Bradford Hutchinson for mayor. The Ward Councilor race was contested, and voters voted overwhelming to re-elect councilor Bobby Williams. Both amendment questions passed.

Ward 3: Incumbents were favored once again in Ward 3. For At-large councilor the top five vote getters were Kate Bosley, Bettina Chadbourne, Randy Filiault, Michael Remy, and Edward Haas. Jay Kahn earned an overwhelming amount of votes for Mayor, and incumbent ward councilor Bryan Lake was re-elected.

Ward 4: All four incumbent At-large councilors earned the votes of voters in Ward 4. Kate Bosley earned the most votes, followed by Michael Remy, Bettina Chadbourne, Randy Filiault, and Ashock Bahl. Jay Kahn once again earned an overwhelming amount of votes. Laura Tobin ran uncontested for ward councilor. Both amendment questions passed.

Ward 5: There were some tight races for At-large councilor in Ward 5. Kate Bosley earned the most votes, followed by Michael Remy, Randy Filiault, Bettina Chadbourne, and Ashock Bahl. Jay Kahn earned more than 600 votes in the mayoral race, and incumbent Ward Councilor Thomas Powers was re-elected. Both amendment questions passed.
