Roundabout traffic pattern goes into effect at Key Road today

KEENE, NH – A new traffic pattern at the Key Road and Riverside Plaza intersection on Winchester Street in Keene will go into service today.

According to an update from the Keene Public Works Department, crews working on the project will be installing barrels around the central island and restricting incoming roads to one lane in all directions.

Once in place, it will operate similarly to the single-lane roundabout that’s on Court Street near the hospital. Delays are expected through the area and drivers adjust to the new traffic pattern, so drivers are asked to go slow and watch for equipment and workers. Traffic control personnel will be on-site as well to help drivers adjust.

The department has compiled a list of helpful resources to help drivers navigate the roundabout. For more information visit the project website.
